Meet Chris
Chris was raised mostly in Los Angeles and grew up learning carpentry and construction from the very best teacher ever, his amazing talented father, Irv Manecke, a successful General Contractor yes, but also a master carpenter himself. Chris worked side by side with his dad through the years learning the business inside out and upside down; there was no shortage of industry-related skills, techniques, and protocols for him to learn and through the years morphed Chris into the talented, qualified artisan, and perfectionist that works for you today.
While he can build a home from the dirt up, he prefers to work on more specialized projects like fencing, unique arbors, new or rebuilt decking, and a host of other specialty and custom works. When you hire Chris, you can count on getting custom created, beautiful work, from a guy who is honest to a fault, whom you can completely depend on and trust, and who stands by his work. Always.

Chris triviaChris had a few passions growing up. After graduating from Newport Harbor High, where one of his favorite classes was surfing, (yep, a real thing), Chris pursued his other favorite pass time, making music. To just call this a passion can't touch it. Practicing for hours in our garage, long into the night, Chris and two other friends, John Blake and Kevin Dolan, conjured up a music style of unique, emotional, "sonic creations" which still inspire a culture of many today. His band, Abcedarians, formed in 1983 in Newport Beach, released their first record on Manchecter's Factory Records - produced by New Order's Bernard Sumner, to which there is still an impressive following to this day. According to Wikipedia, "they specialized in reverb heavy, synthesized-driven post-punk songs". Not your average pop culture band to be sure...
Please checkout Abcedarians Facebook page created by Eugene Sotela, an avid, loyal fan to whom we have to pay tribute to because after a long battle being sick, Eugene made his transition to his next journey recently. Thank you Eugene! You are a true hero and an inspiration. Chris was so honored to meet you and become your dear friend. RIP.
